"Eggs are chicken periods."

A fact with no moral weight

They bring up a biological curiosity as if it settled the question. What matters is what happens to the animals.

Why it is weak

Even if the comparison were accurate, it says nothing moral. Being gross doesn't make something wrong, and not being gross wouldn't make it right. The listener can simply say they don't care.

The biology is also off: an egg results from ovulation, while menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining. An argument that is easy to correct gives people a reason to dismiss everything else.

The appeal to disgust swaps the victim for the eater's feelings. An egg involving no harm at all, like the rescued hen's in F6, would be a different discussion, precisely because the issue was never its biological origin.

How to say it better

Talk about what happens to the birds: the male chicks are discarded and the hens are slaughtered when production drops.
