"Humans are biologically herbivores."

Weak or false science

They make claims about the body or nutrition that the evidence does not support. When they fall, they take the speaker's credibility with them.

Why it is weak

It isn't an ethical argument. It suggests we should be vegan because we can't make use of meat, milk and eggs, not because exploiting animals is wrong.

It also has a weak scientific basis: the human body digests animal foods, and history records no epidemic of intolerance caused by them.

The variant "put a baby next to an apple and a rabbit: it plays with the rabbit and eats the apple" cites no study at all. It is an appeal to ignorance as well as an appeal to nature.

How to say it better

Even if we were great at digesting meat, that wouldn't tell us whether it's right. We can live well without it, and that's the information that matters.
