"Every nutrition body in the world approves vegan diets for everyone."
They claim more than the evidence supports, or attack people instead of discussing what they do.
Why it is weak
It overstates the consensus. The US Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the British Dietetic Association say well-planned vegan diets can be appropriate at every stage of life. But the German Nutrition Society, in 2024, neither recommended nor advised against vegan diets for pregnant women, children and older adults, for lack of data, and European pediatric bodies are cautious.
Overstating it gives the other person an easy rebuttal, and the discussion becomes about the overstatement.
It also leaves out the conditions all these bodies set: planning, B12 and, for vulnerable groups, professional follow-up.
How to say it better
Say who says what: bodies such as the US Academy and the British Dietetic Association accept well-planned vegan diets at every stage of life, with B12 and planning; others urge more caution for pregnancy and children. None says you need to eat animals.
